  • Fixed Spotify playback controls incorrectly reporting failures when Spotify returned a successful HTTP 200 response with an empty or non-JSON body.
  • Fixed false “Could not pause/play/skip — no connected player to control” messages when Spotify had actually accepted the command.

AetherisBot Cloud, security & reliability
  • Introduced AetherisBot Cloud, a centralized Twitch chatbot architecture that receives chat through Twitch EventSub and securely forwards requests to each paired Aetheris desktop app.
  • Added browser-based Twitch OAuth and secure desktop pairing so normal users can connect Twitch without entering a bot username or bot OAuth token.
  • Added cloud Twitch replies, AetherisBot self-message filtering, initial live/offline state, offline message suppression by default, and an optional offline testing override.
  • Hardened Twitch OAuth lifecycle handling with token validation, refresh support, reauthorization status reporting, secure disconnect/revoke behavior, and pairing credential rotation.
  • Improved cloud reliability with WebSocket heartbeat/reconnect diagnostics, payload and message limits, request rate limits, replay/duplicate protection, and stricter protocol validation.

  • Secured OBS Browser Source integration behind a localhost relay so service credentials are no longer exposed in OBS URLs while preserving compatibility with older v1.3.0 URLs.
  • Fixed Twitch connection UI state so healthy paired accounts show Disconnect, Re-authorize appears only when authorization actually needs attention, and top/bottom connection indicators stay synchronized.
  • Improved startup cloud-bridge state handling so an already paired and healthy Twitch connection reports its real authenticated status instead of lingering on a waiting state.
  • Improved Spotify playback controls so Skip and related player commands target an available Spotify Connect device when Spotify does not report an active player.
  • Restored and hardened the clickable version / What's New pill, including keyboard access and the theme-aware animated unseen-notes indicator, while fixing startup ordering that could leave it blank or missing.
  • Preserved the known-good YouTube Music Desktop realtime integration, Windows tray behavior, packaged UI resources, Developer Mode, secure setup backup/restore, requested-song logging, diagnostics, and existing request/queue behavior.

  • Added automatic request modes for Manual, Spotify only, YouTube only, and Spotify → YouTube fallback handling directly from the Dashboard.
  • Improved automatic request safety so requests that cannot be resolved remain pending instead of disappearing.

  • Replaced native color inputs with an Aetheris-styled custom color picker, including exact hex editing and a vertical brightness control inside the picker.
  • Added a theme-aware animated update indicator on the version button when new What's New notes are available.
  • Added Windows system tray support: closing the window hides Aetheris to the tray so requests can keep running, clicking the tray icon restores it, and Exit Aetheris fully shuts it down.

Full setup backup & tutorial fix
  • Added Export all / Import all in Settings so API keys, service credentials/tokens, connection settings, theme, and OBS overlay customization can be moved to a new PC or clean Aetheris installation.
  • Full setup backups leave request queue, history, and now-playing runtime data behind; credentials are now stored in a protected portable blob rather than readable JSON.
  • Fixed the YouTube API tutorial link so the bundled aetheris-youtube-api-setup.html guide is included with packaged builds and opens correctly from the installed desktop app.

  • Redesigned the Dashboard into independent left/right columns for cleaner card spacing.
  • Moved customization import/export into the Customization tab and cleaned up Customization section spacing.
  • Fixed Add a song directly so Aetheris only records the song after queueing succeeds and labels manual requests as Aetheris.
  • Switched Spotify desktop authorization to Authorization Code + PKCE, with no Client Secret required.

  • Added an Aetheris YouTube Data API setup tutorial with step-by-step screenshots and linked it below the masked YouTube API key field.
  • Updates now ask for permission before downloading and installing instead of downloading silently.
  • Added an About section with the GitHub repository, manual update check, version information, and CodedByNyxia branding.
  • Added a support/feedback email to the "What's new" panel.
